chase's v-day giveaways

happy valentine's day! this time last year i was still on maternity leave. so this is the first time chase & i (more like i) made valentine goodies for his buddies @ day care. i definitely wanted to do something handmade and cute. but because i've also been very busy both at work and at home, i also wanted to do something very simple. we decided to make little stickers for his friends. he loves putting tape, labels and stickers on his nose, cheeks, forehead and hands, so this was right up his alley.

the first thing we did, was make a valentine's stamp by carving a simple heart on a potato.

next i cut solid teal scrapbook paper. the length is just slightly longer than the sandwich bag they were eventually attached to. then i folded each piece and stamped away. simple!

next i printed out cute images on sticker paper i bought from staples. full page label paper works too. i purchased these images from the silhouette print & cut library. if you don't have a silhouette and want to do something similar, free clip art will work just as great!

i divided the pile of stickers into 5 stacks, one for each of the kiddos in his class. each treat bag included 4 fun chubby birdies (which are my fave!), 2 heart embellished birds and 2 conversation hearts.

then voila...each set was placed into a snack bag, topped with the scrapbook paper, and tagged with a sweet message. simple. fun. cute.
