around here, we feel blessed to have an amazing day care for Chase. all of his 'teachers' are so sweet and gentle. they also do a ton to help with his development. on a daily basis, he does some outdoor play, arts & crafts (i love that his main teacher loves to do art!), circle time, etc.
i'm sharing a very simple but thoughtful teacher appreciation treat chase & I put together to thank all of the teachers @ his day care this past may. they do so much and play such an important role in the little guy's life. around here, we try to find lots of ways to let them know just how much we appreciate them.
this time around, we assembled individual treat bags for the teachers. we filled sandwich bags with some yummies, cut rectangular pieces out of scrapbook paper according to the length of the bag. stapled the paper across the top of the bag so that both sides of the very are covered in the paper. i created the tags out of party signage that i had bought for chase's baptism. i printed a message to each of the teachers on the tags, which are attached by yarn and strung through a hole punched opening through the tag and the bag. these were so fun, easy to make and the teachers seemed to appreciate the thoughtfulness.
PS - the treats featured come from Portos, the most amazing and inexpensive cuban bakery, located very close to my work (ooooh...lucky me!). my faves are their potato balls, cheese rolls and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. yum yum yummy!
what other suggestions do you have for good day care gifts?
